Oprah Winfrey, a 63 years old black African American, is media proprietor, talk show host, producer, actress, author and philanthropist.

She is best known for hosting The Oprah Winfrey Show which was ranked the highest rated show of the American TV history where she had educational segment, self-help segment, interviews of celebrities or highly influential persons, book clubs and many other segments.

Oprah Winfrey’s life story is about turning wounds into wisdom and overcoming dark times.
How a 14 years old teenager handled pregnancy? How one overcame childhood abuse and poverty? How one handled career setbacks for not being qualified? And so on.

Oprah Winfrey was born to a single teenage mother and was raised by relatives in poverty. At age 14, she got pregnant and gave birth to her first child and her child died; it was the moment for her to change her life and convert wounds into wisdom. She studied media communication and started her career as a news reporter but got fired as she was considered not to eligible enough. She worked very hard and became a radio host then a co-anchor person for a show and mastered the gamed as she hosted the highest ranked TV show of the American TV show history. 

She is the only black multi-billionaire in America; moreover, she is considered to be the most influential woman in the world. In 2013, she was awarded the Presidential Medal for Freedom by Barack Obama; on the other hand, she was awarded the honorary doctorate degree by Harvard and Duke University.

In 2011, she launched her own TV network known as OWN which stands for Oprah Winfrey Network and her net worth is $ 3.1 billion dollars and she is the richest Black American.
