Arunima Sinha; First Ever Amputee Girl Who Climbed The Mount Everest (21,726 feet)
Arunmia Sinha is the first Indian and the only female amputee
(amputation is the removal of limb by medical illness or surgery) that has
climbed Mount Everest.
A story of courage and dedication that made her make a world
record.
How a girl lost her limbs? How she overcome depression? What
made her made her climb the Mount Everest? What made her an inspiration? And so
on.
Arunmia Sinha was an Indian national level volleyball player
who was pushed under the train’s track while resisting robbers that wanted to
rob her bag in 2011.
She was given a low compensation by Indian government and a
4 month treatment by All India Institute of Medical Sciences; on the other
hand, a private Delhi-based Indian company provided her a prosthetic leg for
free.
She was very depressed after losing her leg but after
getting a prosthetic leg she thought that it is time to create history and be
the first ever amputee to climb the Mount Everest as she was inspired by the
persons who battled cancer and overcame dark days in their lives. She climbed
21,726 feet in 2013, in 52 days and created history.
She was awarded 25 lakhs by Indian sports minister and was
awarded the fourth highest civilian award in 2015, by Indian government. She decided
to become an inspiration for all the disabled persons that life is not over and
there is a lot you can do no, matter what the situation is.
Arunmia Sinha is an inspiration for all the persons to
overcome hard times and achieve what is next to the impossible.
Impressed, deep respect!
