FIFA 2022 World Cup; History Making Match With $ 200 Billion USD Plus Investment
FIFA 2022 world cup which is the 22nd
edition of FIFA world cup is scheduled to be played in Qatar.
It is the first time that FIFA is being held in Middle east;
more importantly, in an Islamic country.
32 teams will compete and the matches will start in June and
the final will be played on December 18, which is the national day of
Qatar.
5 stadiums were supposed to be build up for FIFA 2022 and
some stadiums are expanded for the FIFA matches. Stadiums apply technology
capable of reducing 20 °C temperature
to avoid heat stroke.
Lusail Iconic Stadium is built for the opening and
final match of FIFA world cup 2022 with $ 45 billion USD cost in
Lusail. It is considered to be the biggest stadium in the world with high tech.
The stadium has a circular base and is connected to car
parking area with six bridges and is designed by a British architecture company
and is contracted to a Chinese company.
The stadium has the capacity of 86,250 person with a
saddle-form roof and grass surface. The transportation will take place via
metro.
The other stadiums which are built for FIFA matches has the
40,000 person plus capacity; interestingly, Qatar is considered to spend $
200 billion USD for FIFA 2022.
40 channels have the broadcasting rights from 40 different countries
and the sponsors of FIFA 2022 are world’s big names like: Adidas, Coca-Cola,
Qatar Airways, McDonalds, Visa, Vivo and other big names.
