White House; The Most Secure Place On Earth & 18th Century's Architecture
White House is the official residence and work place of the
president of the United States of America, which is located in the 1600
Pennsylvania avenue, Washington Dc. White House has been the resident of every
US president since John Adams in 1800.
The construction of the White House started in 1792 and
finished in 1800. A contest for the architecture of the White House was held
and James Hoban won the contest with his classical design. White House was
built by the assistance of many European artists, free African-American labors
and other immigrant workers.
Firstly, White House was known as President’s Residence or
Executive Mansion but the name White House was officially announced in 1901 because
of its white color. Major changes has not been made to the White House and no
one can bring major changes without discussing it to White House maintenance team
who takes the final decision of approval.
White House has got two wings which are west wing and east
wing and executive residence.
In the west wing, there is president’s office known as the
Oval Office and offices of his 50 senior employees, cabinet room where cabinet
meeting is conducted, and other briefing rooms with high technology.
In east wing, there is first lady’s office and White House
social offices that passes out the official news of the White House and
interviews are held in this wing.
Executive residence is the residential area of the White
House where president lives with his family.
White House is known as the most secure place on earth that
has aerial security that defuses air attacks, and many other high security
systems which are specially designed for the White House.
White House has got secret bunkers which is designed for
emergency situations and the security of the White House is taken by United
States Secret Services and White House Park Police.
